Calibration Gases

After purchasing the appropriate sensor for a given organizational unit and performing a correct, professional installation, it is necessary to ensure the maintenance and calibration of the detector. Although not all devices require it, some of them may become misaligned after prolonged use. In such cases, sensor calibration, which must be performed with calibration gas, comes in handy.

It is also common practice to conduct user tests to verify that the detector reliably triggers the appropriate alarm when it detects a specific concentration of the substance it is designed to detect in the air. Test gases are used not only in private facilities, but also in various industries related to welding, agriculture, the chemical industry, energy, and nuclear power.

JBK offers calibration gases for calibrating its own sensors as well as for testing detectors from other manufacturers.

The gases offered are available in two variants:

  • disposable 110-liter cylinders (1.6-liter water capacity), ideal for transport and use in the field,
  • 200-450 l cylinders (10 l water capacity), for use in laboratories.

JBK also offers gas sensor calibration services for both its own sensors and those manufactured by third parties.

JBK Systems test gas parameters

To ensure that the test gas will enable effective testing of the installation or calibration of the sensor, it should only be purchased from trusted sources, such as JBK Systems. The calibration gases offered have the necessary certificates, meet safety standards, and are stored and transported appropriately. The range includes over 1,500 variants of different gases and gas mixtures in various concentrations. This makes it easy to find the ideal test gas for any sensor and installation. The products offered include carbon monoxide, methane, propane, butane, and hydrogen. This ensures that every sensor will be reliable throughout its entire service life. The cylinders are easy and convenient to use, and the gas flow is constant.
